Linear Probability Model and Logit Model

Linear Probability Model and Logit Model for the question of whether people consider themselves liberal, under the parameters of age, gender, political views and the amount of young children they have.

For every category increase in a female respondent’s age, they are 0.34 percentage points** less likely to consider themsleves Democrats on average, net of political views as liberal or conservative and the amount young children they have.

Having liberal political views (vs. having conservative political views) makes a woman 5.97 percentage points*** more likely to be considered a Democrat on average, controlling for age and the amount of young children they may have.

For every category increase in a female respondent’s number of young children, they are 3.35 percentage points*** more likely to consider themselves Democrats, net of age and political views as liberal or conservative.

For every category increase in a female respondent’s age, they decrease their logit by 0.0142** of considering themselves Democrats, net of their political views as liberal or conservative and net of the amount of young children they have.

Having liberal political views (vs. having conservative political views) increases a female respondent’s log-odds of considering themselves Democrats by 0.2531***, controlling for age and the amount of young children they have.

For every category increase in amount of young children a female respondent have, they increase their logit by 0.1458*** of considering themselves Democrats, net of their age and net of political views as liberal or conservative.
